From the Archives, 1999: Hawks overrun Saints after trailing by 63
When Stewart Loewe goaled five minutes into the second quarter, the Saints lead ballooned out to 63 points. Game over? Not quite. The Hawks kicked the last three goals of the quarter, before piling on another 10 in the third term. Then, a three-goal-to-none final quarter meant Hawthorn had pulled off a miracle turnaround win. It remains the second greatest comeback victory in AFL/VFL history.
