Pies hoping to re-sign young midfield star before season
Collingwood has reportedly opened contract negotiations with midfielder Tom Phillips according to AFL.com.au. The Pies are hoping to have the 22-year-old locked away on a new deal before the start of the season. Phillips is contracted through to the end of 2019 and played all 26 games for the Pies last year. It was reported several key Collingwood players had their contracts restructured in order to fit the returning Dayne Beams under the salary cap.
