Hawks swoop on wounded Bulldogs
Hawthorn has bounced back to form destroying an under strength Western Bulldogs in Launceston by 70 points. The “dogs were barking”, so to speak, as early as Friday morning that both Bontempelli and Matthew Boyd would miss the affair due to niggling injuries. Dogs’s fans, and this author’s, worst fears, notwithstanding the hope of collecting at an extended line, were confirmed shortly before the first bounce with the contest effectively over at that point.
